Inside Negotiations and Industry Perspective

Date: July 23, 2016
Type: AFA Article

Watch this video for an inside look at what led to the $1.9 Billion Tentative Agreement.

"It is more important than ever that we cast an informed vote for our future. I have been able to join our Joint Negotiating Committee for two Information Sessions to date, and a few questions I received directly from members prompted me to produce this video message to all members explaining the International President's role, the overall task of your JNC, the industry perspective and outlook as well as the next steps following this vote.

"Thank you for all you do every day as aviation’s first responders. Take care of yourselves and each other. We are stronger and better together. And as always, Fly safe."

- AFA-CWA International President Sara Nelson.

Attend a JNC Information Session or Local Meeting to discuss the Tentative Agreement and get your questions answered. Your Joint Negotiating Committee took on the difficult task of addressing the different priorities of each Flight Attendant group.  It is important Flight Attendants ask questions to fully understand how all of the contract language works together to provide protections that matter to us.
