  • Negotiations Protocols

Over the course of the past several months the parties have been meeting once a month in order to work towards reaching a Single Collective Bargaining Agreement.  We believe in order to reach a new Contract faster, the parties will simply need to meet more often.  To date, management has been unwilling to do so.  More Negotiations, Fewer Excuses.

As we have previously reported to you, progress is slow at the negotiating table, and that only 3 Tentative Agreements have been reached to date.  This is extremely disappointing; however we remain committed to achieving agreements based upon your collective priorities.  We will not simply accept management proposals for the sake of moving quickly on a timeline where management will only meet once per month.

Our JNC will continue to advance the interests of the collective Membership, and take every opportunity to wrap up an Agreement that addresses what Flight Attendants have told us are issues of importance.  However, all Flight Attendants should understand we are not willing to wrap up an Agreement solely on United's terms. The JNC remains committed to the best Flight Attendant Contract in the industry and we will stay the course to achieve it.

Remember, the more you know and the greater your level of engagement, the more power you provide our JNC to negotiate a Contract that reflects your priorities.  One way you can participate today is by taking part in our "It's our Contract" picture campaign.  Check out what your flying partners are saying is important to them in our Joint Negotiations and follow their example.  Send us your picture, with your top priority, following the guidelines on the website.

It's our Contract.
