Date: September 29, 2017
Type: AFA Article

Last March, management announced that the revered Boeing 747 aircraft, our “Queen of the Skies”, would be retired from our fleet by the end of 2018.  Advancements in technology have created opportunities to secure more fuel efficient, cost-effective and reliable aircraft.  This distinguished aircraft, unique to the industry and an integral part of our airline’s very identity, will fly her last flight on November 7, 2017, from San Francisco to Honolulu.

During the month of October, the 747 will complete her last round of flights and active United employees and retirees are eligible to enter to win a seat on one of these final flights. To enter, go to Flying Together and fill out the entry form. You will also be able to review the terms and conditions of the contest. This will be a 2-hour retirement celebration that you will not want to miss. All flights leave and return to the same location.

If you are interested in taking one of these final flights, you must enter to win.

The last day to enter is Oct. 2 at 11:59 p.m.CT.  Winners will be randomly selected and notified via the email address submitted on the entry form.
