AFA International President Speaks at the Transportation & Infrastructure, Subcommittee on Aviation Hearing

This Wednesday, March 8, 2017, AFA International President, Sara Nelson is scheduled to testify at the Transportation & Infrastructure, Subcommittee on Aviation.  It is expected, President Nelson will discuss Flight Attendant legislative priorities such as a minimum rest provision for Flight Attendants and the importance of implementing a Fatigue Risk Management Plan. This is the third in a series of hearings as the Subcommittee prepares to develop the FAA Reauthorization Bill. This bill has been currently extended through September 2017. 

The hearing is scheduled to begin at 10:00 in room 2167 at the Rayburn House Office Building, 45 Independence Avenue SW, Washington, DC 20515

Flight Attendants who are in the Washington, D.C. area are encouraged and welcomed to attend in full uniform and wearing your AFA pin.  Interested Flight Attendants should contact the United AFA MEC Government Affairs Committee at legislative@unitedafa.org. We ask that all guests arrive outside the room 2167 at the Rayburn House Office Building no later than 08:30 AM.
