Register Your TUMI® Luggage

Date: December 18, 2017
Type: AFA Article

Flight Attendants are required to register their company issued TUMI® rollaboard upon receipt. Your AFA Uniform Committee would like to remind you registering your bag is easy and provides the warranty to resolve any future issues you may have with your bag. To register your bag, sign in to your TUMI account, go to My Account scroll to the bottom of the page and enter your 20-digit tracer number in the space provided under REGISTER YOUR TUMI®. The 20-digit tracer number is found at the bottom of the back plate.

  1.  Go to tumi.com.
  2.  Scroll down to the footer area on the home page.
  3.  Under the “My Account” section click on the “Register Your TUMI” link.
  4.  Log into your TUMI account (Important notes: Make sure to log in with your United email address. For flight attendants with an international home address, you will need to create an account first if you haven’t done so already).
  5.  Once you log in, you will be prompted to enter your information, including the unique 20-digit ID number, to register the bag.
  6.  For the carry-on, the ID number is on the back of the bag.
  7.  For the tote, the ID number is on the inside of the front pocket.

A five-year warranty applies to all the TUMI® products included in the company program. The warranty covers zippers, wheels and handles. Any changes to your luggage made by anyone other than TUMI® voids the original TUMI® warranty and will not be eligible for repair. Click here for a list of TUMI stores that provide repairs. If you have swapped bags with another Flight Attendant and the bag was registered by the previous owner, you will need to re-register your new bag with your information.

As of January 1, 2018, repair vouchers for any TravelPro rollaboards or tote bags will no longer be provided and any repairs will be the responsibility of the individual.

February 1, 2018 will be the transition date on which the Tumi® bag will become a required item.
