United’s First 737MAX9 Takes to the Sky

Date: June 8, 2018
Type: AFA Article

Yesterday, June 7, United’s first 737MAX9 (designated as a 37X) took flight. With a capacity of 179 seats: 20 in United First and 159 in United Economy, this aircraft is similar to the 737-900ER and has an emergency equipment layout similar to the current 73Q with some notable differences. Flight Attendants are encouraged to review the new Safety Alert dated June 7, 2018, the Familiarization Guide, staffing sheets and provisioning diagrams available on Flying in an effort to become familiar with the newest addition to the United fleet.
