Tentative Agreement Information Sessions
This Tentative Agreement (TA) is the combination of 3 separate and distinct Contracts (CAL/CMI/UAL). Please keep in mind that some of the provisions in the TA are compromises between us and our counterparts at CAL and CMI. These compromises were necessary in order to negotiate with UA from one unified position. While some may not like ‘all’ of the provisions, the TA managed to maintain important protections such as Scope, Base closure protections, Foreign National Sideletter, and the Exchange rate Sideletter among others. Take the time to read through all the information including the full text of the TA which is now available online at ourcontract.org.
There will be many opportunities for you to ask questions, and get clarifications prior to the TA vote opening on July 15th, at 12pm ET (July 16th, 1:00am Japan Standard Time) and closing on Friday, August 12th, at 12pm ET (Saturday, August 13th, at 1:00am Japan Standard Time).
Locally we will be available in the NRTSW crew lounge on the following dates and times. (Revised schedule)
July 24: 2-5pm
Stay tuned for additional dates in August.
Additionally the following InfoReps can help you with any questions you may have, or can get back to you with the information. Belva Stallings-Crowell, Meg Kubota, Michael Short, Kay Ikeda, Dana Shimoda, Samantha Wu as well as any of the Officers; Rick, Tony, Norman, Marisa and Nobu.
The Joint Negotiations Committee (JNC) conducted a webcast on July 13th. If you weren’t able to attend, you can view the archived webcast here: http://ourcontract.org/tentative-agreement/webcast/
