Kendra’s Fundraiser
I attended Kendra’s fundraiser yesterday. There was a good turnout, and it was a pleasure to see so many familiar faces. In addition to many of our HNL based Flight Attendants, there were numerous Pineapples as well as retirees. I was able to chat with Kendra, and she is in good spirits. Our hearts go out to Kendra and her family, we hope she will make a speedy and full recovery.

September Flying
Our September flying will be a 30 day month beginning August 30th and ending September 28th. Flying is a little different and it was not possible to build any pure West Coast base ID lines due to only a few West Coast base IDs at beginning and end of the month. We are projected to have a total of 73 lines, including 6 Purser lines. Line value is projected at an average of 82:05. We will fly 11 positions daily on our 3 day GUM. For the West Coast base IDs, we will fly one 3 day LAX, one 3 day SFO, two 2 day LAX all nighters, and one 3 day SFO>LAX. On the single position West Coast IDs we will have a number of 3 day LAXs working over on flight 534, and returning on 1158; all on 777s.
77G
I worked the 77G recently. Boarding was challenging to say the least. They need to increase the staffing, particularly between Hawaii and the West Coast. There are 24 additional economy passengers (336 Y total), but no extra staffing nor extra overhead bin space. On Hawaii-West Coast flights, the 77H previously had the worst PAX/Flight Attendant ratio of any wide body across the system. The 77G now has that dubious distinction. They’ve actually cut staffing by one for international, including flights to and from GUM. Please file a Marginal Service Conditions Report Form over any problems relating to service (that would include boarding).
Merged Seniority List
The merged seniority list has been made available. Login here to access the seniority list. You will see what number you are on the combined list as of 7/13/2016 as well as your combined percentile, current base percentile, your number in your base, along with some other information. While we will all lose some numbers on the combined list, what is important is your percentile, not your overall number. To compare your current percentile at UAL to the combined percentile, look at the most recent semi annual seniority list on Flying Together. Divide the total number of Flight Attendants today (12,466) into your current seniority number. Most Flight Attendants on the UAL side will see a percentile improvement on the combined list. Of course if things remain the same in our base, it’s a moot point. Your base population, seniority, and flying determine what you’ll be able to hold each month.

Sharon's Articles
I hope you all enjoyed the series of articles Sharon McKarcher recently wrote in our Coconut Wireless about the Tentative Agreement. There is a lot of valuable information, and I know Sharon spent considerable time compiling the articles. Please thank her when you have the opportunity.
