Dear Council 11 Members,
Today is a historic day for us as United Airlines Flight Attendants. Today marks the first step in laying the foundation for the New United Airlines. The United that is a single group instead of 3 groups acting as one. This merger began in 2010 and it has taken us a long 6 years to get to a single agreement. With a historic 90% voter turnout and 53% voting for the agreement, we move forward. The vote was close but it is still very important to recognize the significance of today. August 12 will forever be the day we made the steps to unite together.
On behalf of all of the officers in Council 11, I want to send our heartfelt thanks to the Joint Negotiations Committee. Thank you so much for all of the time you invested in our membership. We are stronger because of you and this agreement is proof of that. We also would like to thank the Negotiations Support Activists for all of the work they did to assist the membership over the last 6 weeks.
In Solidarity,
Kaitlin White, President
