Inside this issue:TSA Self Defense Training Classes Offered

 

Aloha Friends,

 

Our fellow AFA crew members at Hawaiian Airlines have coordinated with the TSA to offer an additional round of Crew Member Self Defense Training classes in HNL. In doing so, they have cordially offered the opportunity to us, as well.

 

These classes will be conducted on Oct. 3 - 6, twice a day and are available at no cost. Each class session lasts for approximately 4 hours and limits 6 attendees per TSA instructor. Four instructors per session have been booked which will allow for a class size of 20. Physical contact is involved, comfortable attire is advised.

 

Registration is currently open on a first come, first serve basis. The Hawaiian Airlines AFA-CWA Council 43 Flight Attendants have graciously extended class slots to their pilots, HNL, NRT  & GUM based Flight Attendants, as well as our HNL commuters at United Airlines.

 

Sessions are as follows:

 

Session A  Monday, Oct. 3  8:00a - 12:00p. 
Session B  Monday, Oct. 3  12:30p - 4:30p. 

Session C

Tuesday, Oct. 4  8:00a - 12:00p. 
 Session D Tuesday, Oct. 4   12:30p. - 4:30p. 
Session E  Wednesday, Oct. 5 8:00a - 12:00p.
Session F  Wednesday, Oct 5  12:30p - 4:30p. 
 Session G Thursday, Oct. 6  8:00a - 12:00p. 
 Session H Thursday, Oct. 6  12:30p - 4:30p. 


You can register on the HALAFA.org website for your preferred class date and time. Confirmation of your registration will be sent to your email.
