COLA Bids closing
Here is an AFA article about the Company Offered Leaves of Absence (COLA) starting with the December 2016 Schedule Month.
Bidding for this COLA will close Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 8:00am Central Standard Time.
Should you choose to bid for this COLA it is important to carefully review the LOA Packet link, particularly as it pertains to insurance, pass travel, vacation and sick leave accrual.
Drug and Alcohol Pay
If you are selected to undergo Drug and/or Alcohol testing, you will be paid $25. The Drug and Alcohol pay will not appear in your DFAP. Instead, it will appear as a separate line item on the Pay Advice. Payment typically occurs in the month following the testing.
Flight Attendants will need to keep track of such testing and, if you are not paid, you will need to initiate a pay claim through payroll.
New Officer Orientation
Lani will be attending the New Officer Orientation training November 14-17 in Washington D.C. The Initial Orientation agenda includes a general overview of AFA’s structure, a familiarization of the resources available to assist leaders at the International Office, and a review of responsibilities of a newly elected officer.
Aloha,
Kevin
