Dear Flying Partners:

This is a reminder to attend tomorrow's Special Joint Local Council 12 & 60 Meeting for the purpose of meeting the leadership candidates for the new AFA Council 12.  Anyone wishing to run for local office, including nominees and write-in candidates is invited to participate in this meeting and will be accorded equal time to speak and participate in the Q&A session.  Those candidates who are unable to attend may send a representative to speak on their behalf.

This meeting is open to all members in good standing.  Your participation is paramount to the process of electing officers to serve for the next 3 years.

Note: Pursuant to Article VIII.D.3 of the AFA-CWA Constitution & Bylaws, there shall be no discrimination in favor of or against any candidate for Union office with respect to the use of local Union meetings for campaign purposes. All candidates must be treated equally and accorded the same rights in the event any use of local Union meetings is made for debates, distribution of campaign literature or other campaign purposes. The format of this meeting will be Q & A style. Each candidate will be given an equal amount of time to introduce themselves and for members to ask questions of each candidate. The meeting will be chaired by an individual who is not a candidate for office.
