Return to standard time - change your clocks

The United States and Canada return to standard time Sunday, Nov. 6 at 0200. Remember to "fall back" by setting your watch and clocks back one hour.

Be sure to carefully review your schedule to ensure you have the most accurate flight information as schedule changes may occur simultaneously with the time change.

 Reporting Occupational Injuries

Starting Nov. 2, all flight attendants (except those who are GUM-based) can report an injury incurred during flight or while on layover by calling the injury hotline at 877-924-7563. (The hotline is not currently toll-free from Europe or Asia; though Inflight Safety is working with Corporate Safety to provide a toll-free number for those areas as well). If you are seen by the on-site clinic in ORD, IAH or EWR, clinic personnel will file the initial report for you.

Regardless of how you report the injury, you must also complete an Irregular Operations Report. Time parameters for reporting injuries have not changed from the current information in the eFAOM, and the standardized hotline process will be updated in the eFAOM after the first of the year.

GUM-based flight attendants are administered under separate program, and occupational injury reporting for this group will be will be updated in 2017.

Holiday Incentive Programs For s-UA Flight Attendants

The busy holiday season is upon us with heavy customer loads. Flight attendant reliability is paramount for great customer service. We are proud of the thousands of flight attendants that work every assigned trip and make every effort to achieve high standards of service. Again this year, we want to recognize the efforts of those who have perfect attendance during the holiday season. The below incentives are designed to recognize those flight attendants that work without absences as stated below:

 S-UA holiday incentive program

If you work a flight segment or stand reserve Dec. 10, 2016–Jan. 9, 2017, and do not accrue any attendance points (as defined in Section II of the Dispute Resolution and Performance Management Side Letter) during that same period, you will earn a point credit. The credit (in addition to any credit remaining from the previous three years) will be used to offset the first point(s) you generate after Jan. 9, 2017.
