Message from the President
Stronger Together, Better Together.
Dear Flying Partners:
As we reflect on the results of the recent elections in our country, many have expressed disappointment and many have expressed joy. No matter what, we must remember our country was built on the most fundamental premise which is that everyone shall have a voice. I know each of us respect each other’s voice to the fullest extent, no matter who we publically or privately supported, no matter which referendums we were for or against. This is the beauty of democracy. We all live in a place where we have the right to have a voice and a vote.
Today, our International President and our Company’s CEO made profound statements. AFA-CWA International President Sara Nelson said, “Flight Attendants are healers. We have a responsibility to express the very best of who we are today, with each other, and everyone in our care. The election is over and we must unite." United Airlines CEO Oscar Muñoz said, “This election may have strained our emotions, but not our bonds with one another. Though the state of our politics may have changed last night, our character as individuals remains the same. And so should the way we respect one another and take care of each other. That is the spirit that keeps us flying together as one, United team.”
No matter how each of us voted, we are a close family. We respect one another and each individual opinion. Let’s continue on our mission to bond and become an even closer family for the sake of our careers as the best Flight Attendants in the world. We are Stronger Together and we are certainly Better Together.
And Remember, Where There Is Unity…We Will Find Strength!
In Solidarity,
Dante
