Ladies and Gentlemen:
During the Thanksgiving holiday season, it seems the entire nation is flying somewhere, seemingly simultaneously under our care and attentiveness. A prominent reminder that Thanksgiving Day is one of the United States' most beloved holidays.
Thanksgiving. The very definition of the word suggests an understanding and acknowledgement of the blessings in our lives and the grace to share that with others; be it a glance upward to quietly say thank you to a divine power or giggles shared with friends and family after an abundant meal filled with turkey, stuffing, cranberries and pumpkin pie. The very essence of Thanksgiving encourages each of us to take a moment in time and be present in the spirit of grace and gratitude.
This year I am thankful for more moments of gratitude than I could possibly count. I am thankful to have been given the opportunity to represent an extraordinary group of men and women who comprise our Flight Attendant profession. I am simply, humbly grateful for the gifts and blessings of life filled with the joy of love, laughter, friendships and infinite possibilities for brilliant moments great and small.
Whether at 40,000 ft. with fellow flying partners (and yes, we thank you for sacrificing your holiday celebration so others may be present for theirs) or around a communal dining table with your family, may you find and revel in your moment of grace and thanks. Best wishes for a wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving.
