Flight Attendant & Passenger Boarding Times

Date: November 16, 2018

MEC Safety, Health and Security Committee

Your MEC Safety, Health and Security Committee reminds Flight Attendants that if you find the time provided for your safety checks or briefing with your crew is insufficient, submit an IOR report. All briefings are to be conducted on the aircraft - except when the aircraft is not ready. In this instance, the briefing will be held in an alternative location away from customers, near the boarding door or on the jet bridge.  All safety and security related information should be shared on the aircraft.

As a reminder Flight Attendant and passenger boarding times are set by the company, and they follow our contractual check-in times outlined in Section 6.R. of the JCBA.  The times are determined if you are checking in at the home base or at a point away from home and by aircraft type.

Flight Attendant and Passenger boarding times can be found in the Policies and Procedures manual.
