Contact Crew Scheduling when Trading Positions On-board
November 27, 2018
Flight Attendants should make every effort to inform crew scheduling when trading premium positions onboard the aircraft.
Flight Attendants who exchange one of the four premium pay positions while onboard the aircraft should contact Crew Scheduling prior to departure to inform them of the change. These positions include:
- International Purser
- Language Qualified (LQ) Flight Attendant(s)
- Galley position(s) on widebody or 757
Flight Attendants who are unable to contact Crew Scheduling prior to departure, or those who are in the middle of a pairing and who assume any of the premium paid position(s) should submit an Override Pay Exception at their first opportunity, via Hub Help.
Effective October 1, 2018, Flight Attendants who trade non-premium paid positions onboard are not required to inform or call Crew Scheduling.
Information regarding premium paid positions is found in the Established Staffing Guidelines available on Flying Together > Inflight Services > Policies and Procedures > Established Staffing Guidelines (ESG) policy.
