AFA Works for You! – Uniform Committee
April 11, 2018
As a continuation of our educational series on the roles and work of the various MEC Committees, this week we focus on the work of our MEC Uniform Committee.
This MEC Committee consists of a Chairperson who acts as a liaison for AFA-CWA with the company regarding uniform changeovers and reissue concerns. The Chairperson is expected to be familiar with Contractual provisions regarding our uniform and company appearance regulations. Since the announcement of plans for a new uniform, in conjunction with the MEC Officers, the MEC Uniform Chairperson plays an intricate role at ensuring any new uniform items meet the contractual requirements for uniforms.
By summer’s end, you will begin to see the work the MEC Uniform Committee as it is anticipate there will be nearly 800 uniform wear testers in the field for a ten week uniform wear test. At the conclusion of the uniform wear test period, the opinions of the Membership will be compiled and will be extremely important in the final design choices for our uniform.
The new Uniform launch date is set for the end of 2019.
