Post Social Media Pictures in Support of Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month

Date: June 8, 2018

MEC Communications Committee
The month of June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness month and your AFA leadership has unanimously determined that putting our Collective support behind this initiative is critical in supporting and assisting not only those affected by Alzheimer’s or other brain issues, but also for those who care for them. All of us can help raise awareness for this cause by taking a picture, selfie, or group photo wearing your AFA pin and purple ribbon, then post your photos on social media utilizing Twitter, Instagram and FaceBook with the hashtag #ENDALZ, #TheLongestDay or #AlzheimersAwareness.

We’re wearing purple ribbons, the official color of the Alzheimer’s Association, behind our AFA pins as a way to demonstrate our support and to raise awareness. Additionally, Flight Attendants that do not have social media accounts can still participate by texting their photos to 502-758-9961 or emailing them to communications@unitedafa.org. We’ll make sure we get these posted on your behalf.

Ask your Local Council for a Purple Ribbon. For more information about AFA’s efforts to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness, visit our website.
