Absence Certificate Required during December 20, 2019 – January 4, 2020 period
As required under the provisions of Section 13.C.4. of our Contract, management has notified the Union the company intends to require an Absence Certificate for sick calls occurring during the December 20, 2019 – January 4, 2020 Christmas Holiday period. Flight Attendants who have had no absences in the prior twelve (12) calendar months shall not be subject to the Absence Certificate requirement imposed during this holiday period.
Holiday Bonus Point Requires No Point Generating Attendance December 12, 2019 – January 6, 2020
By mutual agreement with AFA to supplement the language in Section 23.F. of our Contract, Flight Attendants can earn a one-point credit during the holiday season provided the following conditions are satisfied:
- Must be on active status the entire designated holiday period, and
- Must work a flight segment and/or stand Reserve during the period covering December 12, 2019 – January 6, 2020, local domicile/base time, and
- Generates zero attendance points as defined in Section 23.F. of our Contract during this same December 12, 2019 – January 6, 2020 time period, and
- The Flight Attendant has no family leave related absences (with the exception of vacation taken as FML) during the period covering December 12, 2019 – January 6, 2020.
The one-point bonus will be added to your work history and will be used to offset your first point(s) generating occurrence after January 6, 2020.
