Holiday Attendance Programs
December 20, 2019
The company has advised the Union that an Absence Certificate will be required for all absences during the designated holiday period from December 20, 2019 through January 4, 2020 as required under the terms of Section 13.C.4. of our Contract.
Flight Attendants are also eligible to earn a one-point credit when working a flight segment or standing a day of Reserve during the holiday period December 12, 2019, through January 6, 2020 without generating attendance points during this same time period.
By mutual agreement with AFA as a supplement to the language in Section 23.F. of our Contract, Flight Attendants can earn a one-point credit during the holiday season provided all of the following conditions are satisfied:
- Must be on active status the entire designated holiday period, and
- Must work a flight segment and/or stand Reserve during the period covering December 12, 2019 – January 6, 2020, local domicile/base time, and
- Generates zero attendance points as defined in Section 23.F. of our Contract during this same December 12, 2019 – January 6, 2020 time period, and
- The Flight Attendant has no family leave related absences (with the exception of vacation taken as FML) during the period covering December 12, 2019 – January 6, 2020.
The one-point bonus will be added to your work history and will be used to offset your first point(s) generating occurrence after January 6, 2020.
