September 11, 2019 Memorial Services - Our Commitment to Never Forget!
August 10, 2019
Our Commitment to Never Forget!
We have made a commitment to Never Forget the events of September 11, 2001 or the thousands of lives that were lost on that tragic day in the history of our airline and our country. Passengers, Pilots, Flight Attendants & Customer Service Agents aboard the four highjacked aircraft lost their lives that day; American Airlines Flights 11 & 77 and United Airlines Flights 93 & 175.
The memories of our flying partners and fellow employees are prominent in our hearts and minds at this time of the year as we approach this somber date. As we think of those lost, we also think of the many beloved friends and first responders who not only perished that day, but also those first responders, fire fighters and policemen, who served their country and their communities that day and who made the ultimate sacrifice, giving their lives in order to save the lives of others.
Memorial services will be conducted at locations across our nation as we remember those we have loved and lost. We encourage you to attend a ceremony in your area alongside your MEC Officers, your flying partners and the friends and families of those whose lives were lost either in these devastating terrorist attacks or a result of them. If you aren’t able to be part of a local Memorial service, we encourage you to observe those moments of silence that will take place in honor of all those touched by the tragedy we know as September 11, 2001.
