AFA Regional Carriers - Bridge the Gap Nationwide Picketing - Wednesday, Aug. 21
August 13, 2019
Air Wisconsin, a regional carrier, operates flights for United Airlines. Despite airline profits, Flight Attendants at Air Wisconsin are kept in poverty struggling to make ends meet. Disappointingly, management has only proposed a meager 2% increase after 3 years of bargaining. This to a group of hard working, dedicated safety professionals who have had their wage rates frozen since 2007. Yes, 2007!
Trans States Holdings (owner of Compass and GoJet) is trying to lock Flight Attendants at GoJet and Compass into poverty wages with no or bare minimal increases. GoJet Flight Attendants fly for United Airlines. Compass Flight Attendants fly for American Airlines and Delta Air Lines.
Join us to fight back. On August 21st, we will be focused on actions at the following locations:
- DCA National Airport, (Noon-1pm)
- ORD Chicago O'Hare, (Noon-1pm)
- LAX Airport, (Noon-1pm)
Standing together, we will support our brothers and sisters at these carriers who provide the vital feed that makes the balance of our network work! Together, we can bridge the gap in pay that exists for our brothers and sisters who make a commitment to care for our passengers – every day on every flight.
