Scheduled Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Blue Line Service into O’Hare

Date: September 27, 2019

Flight Attendants who use public transportation to/from O’Hare Airport should be aware the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Blue line will be shut down into the airport for maintenance beginning Friday, September 27, 3029 at 10:00pm (CT) through Monday, October 7, 2019 at 4:00am (CT).

During this period free CTA shuttle buses will be available between Chicago O’Hare Terminal 1, 2 and 3 and the first CTA stop outside the airport, the Rosemont Bus Service Center & CTA stop. Buses will run every 3 – 5 minutes throughout the day and every ten (10) minutes throughout the night.  If you are traveling to/from International Terminal 5, use the intra-terminal O’Hare Airport shuttle buses to Terminals 1 – 3 and catch the CTA shuttle buses to the Rosemont stop.

It is recommended that you allow an extra 20 – 30 minutes of travel time during the day and a little longer during night time hours if you are using the Blue Line to the airport. Additional information can be found on the CTA website.
