Pacific Coastal Airlines Suspends Operations

Date: March 21, 2020

RICHMOND—Pacific Coastal Airlines (PCA) will be suspending operations as of Tuesday, March 24, due to the novel coronavirus.

According to PCA President, Quentin Smith, this was a difficult but necessary decision to make.

“Given the rapidly deteriorating situation and the need ot be socially responsible during this State of Emergency, we have no other choice than to take the drastic step to protect the health and safety of our employees, the public, and the financial stability of our airline.”—Quentin Smith, PCA President

The airline has plans to resume scheduled operations on Sunday, May 3 if conditions allow.

Operations will continue through end of day Tuesday, March 24. Fliers who have scheduled flights between March 25 and May 2 will be contacted directly by PCA. The airline is asking the public to not contact them or go to the airport to cancel flights as they are assisting passenger requests between now and Tuesday, March 24 to help them get home.
