August Schedules Awarded Today – Questions from those Non-Qualified in August
July 18, 2020
As we know, there have been interruptions in the company’s ability to conduct and schedule CQ classes due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the FAA accommodation that extend qualifications for those having a March, April and May CQ due month, the inability to conduct training for some period of time has only exacerbated the issues associated with training. Candidly, one of the only saving graces was the fact that last year, management had moved all Flight Attendants with CQ due months in June, July and August to alternate places in the calendar year.
As August schedules were awarded today, many non-qualified Flight Attendants, that is, those who have not been able to attend CQ, are finding they were not awarded schedules due to the fact that they are non-qualified. As a result, they are seeing no schedule and no pay register information.
Rest assured, there is a plan in place to ensure pay protection due to the company’s inability to schedule training as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. While the company has a robust plan to get people trained, we want to remind you that there may be a delay in the manual building of your pay register for August. Keep in mind, your August flight activity drives your September pay so there is still plenty of time for Crew Pay to create those pay registers in time for you to receive the first of your two September pay checks. Be patient as our colleagues are working with reduced resources but are making a dedicated effort to ensure the accuracy of all our pay. If you don’t see your August pay files created by August 6th(after the close of July pay), give Crew Pay a call.
