Company to Award Additional September Special COLA Awards from Waitlist

Date: August 29, 2020

Flight Attendants still interested in the September Special Cola are encouraged to submit their request in CCS in order to take advantage of additional time off opportunities that are available.  Waitlist opportunities are still available in most locations. Special COLAs from the waitlist are awarded in a first come, first awarded basis, with the next round being reviewed on Saturday, August 29, 2020, 08:00am CT.

October Special COLAs Available (1-, 2- and 3-month Special COLAs)

Inflight Scheduling is offering special Company Offered Leaves of Absence (COLAs) for the October bid month.

Flight attendants interested in these Special COLAs should submit their request via CCS under the "Leaves" drop down menu. Select - Special COLA.

If you are interested in more than one duration, please indicate the one you prefer as they will be awarded at the same time.  (Keep in mind the 8- & 13-month durations listed on the form will only be awarded in the event of a CARES Act extension.)

The deadline to submit your request is Friday, September 4th at 08:00 a.m. CT.  *This date is potentially subject to change.

These Special COLAs will include medical benefits at active employee rates. Additionally, pay and vacation longevity are not impacted for step increases.

Once the Special COLA is awarded it cannot be rescinded. For more information on how to apply for a special COLA in CCS, review special COLA Overview section in the "COLA, Jobshare and Multiple Month Partnership Overview" located on Flying Together > Inflight Services > Crew Scheduling.

For additional details: Review the Special COLA Overview section in the "COLA, Job share and Multiple Month Partnership Overview" located on Flying Together > Inflight Services > Crew Scheduling on how to apply.

Refer to the individual special COLA program information documents on Flying Together > Inflight Services > Crew Scheduling.

Review Section 15.C and 15.N of the Agreement. Flight attendants awarded the October Special COLA will be required to complete any overlapping assignments into the October bid month. Please refer to Section 15.C.2 ( & Section 15.B.5) of the Agreement. If you do not wish to fly an overlapping trip you may adjust your schedule through the normal process. If you have a Special COLA request on file, it will be considered for an award at any time before the October bid month starts if slots are still available.
