Updated Mask Requirements for Entering Germany

Date: November 5, 2021

Local authorities require anyone traveling on public transit (except airplanes) or entering public spaces (including the airport, etc.) in Germany (FRA and MUC) to wear a FFP2 type mask. N95/KN95 masks are equivalent and have been approved for use by crews. A supply of N95/KN95 masks is being provisioned on flights to Germany for this purpose. These masks are for both pilots and flight attendants. Please take only one mask each and leave any remaining supply onboard in the original stowage location.

Medical-type/surgical masks do not meet this requirement when in Germany.
