Positive Space: Florida Travel Advisory July 6 & 7

Date: July 5, 2021

Due to the significant weather events forecasted for the state of Florida, in advance of Hurricane Elsa, United is offering positive space to maintain the needs of the operation. To be eligible, Flight Attendants must be commuting from TPA, RSW, SRQ, EYW, FLL, PBI, MIA and MCO to be in position to operate trips starting on Tuesday, July 6 and Wednesday, July 7.

To have your positive space authorized, create your PNR as “positive space” not space available. Once you have booked your PNR, contact FAST at 1-800-358-5463 (FLT-LINE) Option 4, then Option 2. Advise the FAST representative that you are calling for IRROPS travel authorization. FAST will authorize the PNR while you are on the call.

As with all IRROPs and Commuter Program issues, we advise Flight Attendants to keep records of phone calls, PNRs, and travel information in the event there are questions about your commute.

*As a reminder, this positive space authorization DOES NOT place you on must ride status and flights will not be oversold to accommodate travel.

To all of our Florida based Flight Attendants and Commuters, please stay safe through the storm.
