CDC lifts Covid-19 International Travel Testing Requirement

Date: June 10, 2022

Today, press sources report that the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has announced that travelers coming into the United States will no longer be required to pre-departure COVID-19 test. However, with limited exceptions, foreign nationals traveling into the United States will still be required to be vaccinated against coronavirus for admission into the United States.

The requirement will be lifted effective on Sunday, June 12th at 12:01 a.m. ET.

The CDC also stated that it will continue to monitor the situation and will reassess its decision in 90 days.  Should circumstances warrant it, officials may decide to reinstate the pre-departure COVID-19 testing in the instance of new COVID variant.
