VSL-B Sendoff

Date: August 30, 2022

As Flight Attendants, we devote our lives to our careers and use our passion for aviation to bring people from around the world together, impacting every flight, every day. We pride ourselves on being safety professionals and aviation’s first responders using our skills in the air and on the ground. In addition to the hard work in our chosen profession, we are Union Members coming together to better our careers and brighten the futures of others.

For many years we have been fortunate to work beside flying partners who have embodied this spirit. Their shared talents, vision, and wisdom through life experience have helped shape the future of the Flight Attendant profession. We have been privileged to call these Members of our Union family our flying partners. Their individual and collective contributions to our Union, our airline, and the impact their friendships have had on each of us cannot be truly expressed in words.

On August 31, we say farewell to 1,382 Flight Attendants who participated in the Voluntary Separation B (VSL-B). These individuals have experienced so many changes throughout their careers. Their adventure is far from over as they move into their next chapter. While they may no longer be flying the skies with us, they will always be Flight Attendants and a part of our family.

We offer our sincerest appreciation and thanks for your service and years of dedication. From all of us at the United Master Executive Council, we join our flying partners in wishing you the best and much success in your future endeavors. Happy Retirement!
