Our Commitment to Never Forget

We gathered to pay tribute on the 21st remembrance of September 11th. The tragedy of the attacks forever changed the world and our careers as Flight Attendants. The loss we experienced as a nation cannot be measured.

Our Leaders and Members from around the country gathered at the Pentagon, New York City, and at the Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, to pay our respects in remembrance of the lives that were lost.

At the Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville, we were honored to be joined by the First Lady of the United States, Dr. Jill Biden, and her sister Bonnie, a EWR Flight Attendant and our Union Sister. We greatly appreciate the First Lady’s presence and all of her personal & caring support during the ceremony in remembrance of the forty lives lost on Flight 93.

We acknowledge and express our appreciation to those who served as the Honor Guard and those who were in attendance for taking the time to join us in honoring the ultimate sacrifice of so many who, through their deliberate actions, collectively acted to sacrifice their lives so that others might live.

There is no measure of gratitude worthy of their ultimate sacrifice.  As we have done each of the past twenty-one years, we recommit ourselves to their memory, their legacy, and their commitment.  At the same time, we collectively renew our commitment to Never Forget.  We keep our promise and, in so doing, keep their spirits alive.

We will Never Forget their stories.  We can Never Forget their sacrifice.  We will always remember their names.

Uniform Points Reminder

Recognizing the supply line challenges that made securing certain uniform items difficult during the early months of this year, through discussions with our MEC Uniform Committee, we have come to learn that uniform items that were once on back order have been replenished, Back ordered items have been delivered to new hire and incumbent Flight Attendants alike with back order issues of Tumi® luggage next on the list of items to be addressed.

As we approach the start of Fall and the upcoming holiday months, it’s timely for us to remind everyone that Uniform point allocations, with the exception of those on Leaves of Absence (Section 25.C.5.) do not roll over to the following calendar year. To get full use of our negotiated annual uniform points allocation, remaining uniform points must be used before the end of the calendar year.  We encourage you to consider doing so before the business holiday season begins.

To check your uniform point balances, visit the Uniform Homepage on the Flying Together website or proceed directly to the Cintas website. If you have any further questions, please get in touch with Cintas Customer Service Team by telephone at 1-800-889-0331.
