Reminder - 2022p1 Winter Trimester CBT Due January 29!
Continuing Qualifications (CQ) 2022p1 Winter Trimester is required to be completed by January 29, 2023, at 2359 Central Standard Time.
Log into TakeOff Learning on Flying Together and select Continuing Qualifications (CQ) 2022p1 Winter Trimester.
Flight Attendants are compensated for completing the requirement based on the contractual provisions in Section 11.B.2. of our Contract.
Once the CBT is completed, credited compensation will be posted as Add Pay prior to the close of pay for the month in which the CBT is completed. Typically, the posting is programmatically applied to pay registers during the first couple of days in the new month. It is important that we are clear as to when this pay is posted to our Pay Register to identify is there is a true discrepancy. Discrepancies or missing compensation can then be reported by filing a pay claim via Help Hub.
As a reminder, it is a good practice to keep a record of any completed CBT segments. In the event that your completion is not accurately recorded, proof of completion can prevent you from needing to re-take a segment. We suggest keeping a screenshot of completed segments or a copy of the CBT completion email for your records.
Drug and Alcohol Testing Pay
We have received a number of questions about the process by which pay for Drug/Alcohol testing is applied to our Pay Registers. As part of Crew Pay’s normal business process, a computer file is loaded to CCS once a month for all Flight Attendants. Because this process occurs late in the month and payments for all Flight Attendants are processed in a “batch,” there are often questions about what appears to be the missing posting.
Your payment for Drug/Alcohol Testing will typically be posted on or about the 3rd business day of the month for any test done in the prior month (Example: On the 4th of November, your drug/alcohol test pay will appear for any test done in October’s bid month). The posting will appear on your pay register as a single line coded as DOT in your pay register details. This pay will also be visible under your “Additional Pay (Other Rates)” at the top of your CCS pay register under “Total Month’s Pay.”
If, after the fourth of the following month, you do not see the Drug/Alcohol pay posting, let Crew Pay know via a pay claim in Help Hub.
AFA Welcomes Class 2247!
Last week, AFA welcomed class 2247!
Class 2247 will begin their careers at our Chicago, Denver, Newark, and Washington D.C. Domiciles. We look forward to welcoming our flying partners to the line as they begin their new careers!
As a reminder, when a probationary Flight Attendant has questions about our Contract and work rules, please direct them to their Local Council for assistance. We want to ensure they are receiving the most accurate and vetted information as we work in supporting them for our collective future success.
