During the month of May, we highlight the history and contributions of the Asian American and Pacific Islander community and our Members who make up these diverse groups. This significant milestone was achieved thanks to the dedicated efforts of our fellow AFA members, who proposed the idea along with a commemorative pin for all Members to wear proudly throughout the month in solidarity.
As Flight Attendants, we are afforded a unique opportunity to explore the world and experience the beauty and diversity that make up the fabric of our global society. Every Flight Attendant’s story and journey is unique, and we want to hear yours as we celebrate our Members in the AAPI community.
When we share our experiences, we bridge the gap between differences and find common ground through understanding. This initiative is part of our continuing mission to highlight and honor the communities that make up our flying family.
We would love to see your photos and hear why Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month is meaningful to you! If you'd like to honor one of your flying partners or submit a photo and story of your own, please feel free to send it to Humanrights@unitedafa.org. We can't wait to share your stories!
