As Reserve acknowledgements were sent to Flight Attendants around 7:30pm CT tonight, we began to receive reports of irregularities with the information displayed in the acknowledgements and on Master Schedules.  Reserves attempting to ascertain their next day assignments report having difficulty doing so. Specifically, CCS acknowledgements for certain assignments did not show any pairing number or flight details.  In addition, the assignment did not appear in the CCS Master Schedule calendar.

Our MEC Reserve Committee immediately contacted Crew Scheduling Management to report the issue and has requested assistance in resolving the issue as quickly as possible.  The issue has been escalated to United's IT group.  As we know, attempting to reach the company by telephone for any number of scheduling functions has been difficult for the past several days and we have emphasized that getting this automation issue resolved immediately must be a priority for management.

However, and until this issue is resolved, we remind all Reserve Flight Attendants who are unable to ascertain their next day assignment when using automated means, our Contract establishes the requirement for those of us on Reserve to contact the crew desk to obtain information about our next day’s assignment.  (Section 8.F.2.)

If you have additional questions, please contact your Local Council Reserve Committee.
