On December 13th we will stand together in a System-wide Day of Action objecting to management’s decision to succumb to the pressures of Wall Street rather than addressing the needs of the traveling public and providing the proper staffing on the aircraft to ensure Flight Attendants are able to meet the expectations of those who really matter – our passengers!
We all want United Airlines to succeed and we all want to take pride in a job well done. The new cuts to staffing and service in a time of massive profits is the last straw, but the reality is that management is failing to deliver on several fronts. The continuing glitches, contract provisions that haven’t been implemented because of automation limitations are nothing less than unacceptable. The contract is clear and in every case it’s up to management to keep their end of the bargain.
