In our ongoing effort to address website security concerns, changes were recently made to the Reports and Forms section of our www.unitedafa.org website. As a result of these changes, in order to file a Local Council Worksheet you must create a secure United MEC website account. Once created, you will use these credentials to submit Local Council Worksheets.
You may initiate the Dispute Resolution Process by filing a worksheet with your Local AFA Council within 60 calendar days of reasonably having knowledge of the dispute. You can find more information about the process by reviewing the Dispute Resolution Guide, Questions & Answers, More Information on our website.
Your Local AFA Council will review and evaluate every worksheet submitted.
- If it’s determined that the complaint has no merit, your Local Council will advise you of the reason(s) for that decision and will not pursue the issue through the grievance process.
- If it’s determined that the claim is potentially valid, your Local Council will take the next step, which is to file a Notice of Dispute (NOD) with the designated Company personnel within 30 days of receipt of the worksheet.
If you need to file a worksheet, you can follow the process below:
- The form to file a Local Council Worksheet can be found here on our United MEC website.
- If you already have a United MEC Website account, enter your credentials and you’ll be directed to the form.
- If you do not yet have an account. You’ll need to create one.
- You will need your employee number (without the “u”)
- Your birthdate
- Your Inflight Seniority date*.
*If you are unsure of what your Inflight Seniority date is, you can find it on United’s Flying Together here. It is supposed to be on FT > Inflight > Crew Scheduling > Semi Annual System Seniority List, however it’s currently missing from that page.
Contact Your Local Council Office if you have further questions.
