Effective April 24, 2020, Flight Attendants are required to wear face coverings or masks while on duty. This safety effort was a direct initiative of the work of our MEC Safety, Health and Security Committee for collaboratively working with the company to further Flight Attendant safety, as we address the challenges the COVID-19 virus has impeded on our industry.
Flight Attendants may use their own neutral colored cloth mask, or one of company provided the surgical masks available onboard the aircraft. Additionally, as some cities begin to relax the parameters of shelter in place orders, Flight Attendants are cautioned to continue to practice social distancing. Always wear a facial covering in public and while on layovers.
