United MEC President, Ken Diaz and Inflight Services Vice President of Operations, John Slater, traveled to the island of GUAM to share in the festivities surrounding the 50th anniversary celebration of the historic Island Hopper flight.  The Island hopper flights began in 1968 and continues to operate 3 times a day from GUM to TKK, PNI and KSA and twice a week to KWA and MAJ.

A roadshow event was held in conjunction with Guam’s Island Hopper 50th Anniversary. The celebration created a great opportunity for Flight Attendants to receive information directly from company and Union leadership, listen to concerns and answer questions relating to the October 1st implementation of our JCBA.

Flight Attendants on GUM were pleased to have the opportunity to meet with Ken and John and were particularly grateful for their participation in the Island Hopper Anniversary celebration.
