Hotel Gainsharing JCBA Section 5.C

Share links

Section 5.C. of our JCBA states, “Flight Attendants who cancel hotel rooms in accordance with the provisions of this Paragraph shall be reimbursed a portion of the resulting savings from such cancellations. The amount of expenses, transportation, and lodging of such reimbursement shall be reviewed annually, but shall not be less than $20.00 for each cancelled hotel room.”

This contractual benefit is only available to Flight Attendants scheduled to occupy the hotel room, and Flight Attendants are not permitted to cancel hotel rooms for other crew members.

A Flight Attendant interested in participating in the Hotel Gainsharing provision is authorized to do so online via CCS>Schedule>Hotel Gainsharing. The following requirements must be adhered to when utilizing this benefit, and you must click that you agree to them before placing your Gainsharing request.

Room cancellations are final and may not later be rescinded by the Flight Attendant authorizing such cancellation. Once you click submit, you are locked in, so be sure to check twice!

If the Flight Attendant cancelling the room becomes ill, is reassigned, or re-crewed after Gainsharing a room, they are required to notify Crew Scheduling as soon as possible that the room accommodations had been canceled. This allows time to re-secure a room for the new Flight Attendant now possibly working the position.
