Section 7.Y. of our Contract provides specific direction on how International pairings are to be constructed and outlines they may contain a Domestic segment provided that the Domestic segment(s) may not exceed one on either or both sides of the International segment, creating a “Mixed pairing.” In such a case, the pairing will be designated as International for the purpose of International override and per diem.
These requirements apply for scheduling purposes – whether scheduled in advance or as a result of irregularities in the operation. In the event you have questions about International pairings, contact your Local Council.
