International override as outlined in Section 4.J. is a provision of our JCBA that is common now to all Flight Attendants without regard to pre-merger affiliation. Flight Attendants flying international pairings (International as defined under each respective pre-merger Contract) receive an hourly override of $2.00/hour, prorate, for each block hour actually flown and all credited time except sick/occupational leave and vacation.
Night Pay as outlined in Section 4.M.is paid in addition to all other compensation at the rate of $.50/hour, prorated, for each actual hour worked as a member of the crew between the hours of 2200 - 0600 based on the departure of the flight segments.
Shared in the future is the concept of Flight Time Limitations as set forth in Section 6.L. which establishes a contractual ninety-five (95) hours of credited flight time as the maximum for lineholders in a month and one hundred (100) hours of credited flight time as the maximum for Reserves. What is often misunderstood about this Contractual provision is the concept that these maximums can also be increased at the option and sole discretion of the individual Flight Attendant. Not only can the maximum be increased, the timing of when the increase to the maximum applies is at the discretion of the individual Flight Attendant throughout the month.
Lineholders may opt to increase their monthly maximum to one hundred (100) hours or over one hundred (100) hours by picking up open flying, trip trading, or accepting a reassignment that places her/him over their respective maximum. Again, these are discretionary actions at the option of the individual Flight Attendant.
Reserves may, at the time of bid or anytime during the month, elect to opt to one hundred five (105) or over one hundred fivehours for the month.
