A Local Executive Council (LEC) has been established for the three (3) satellite bases in Florida, namely FLL/MCO/TPA.

During the Spring MEC meeting, Council 6 - EWR presented a Late Agenda Item proposing the establishment of a Local Executive Council.  The proposal was unanimously adopted by the United MEC, and subsequently approved by the AFA-CWA Executive Board, composed of each airlines Master Executive Council President, with Council 22 FLL/MCO/TPA set to commence operations on June 1, 2023.

According to Article 3.A.4., which grants the Executive Board the power to appoint temporary Local Council Officers, the following AFA members in good standing have been appointed: Todd Failla as Interim President, Cameron Matthews as Interim Vice President, and Randy Hatfield as Interim Secretary. Council 22 has been placed into Election Category 2, with further information regarding the election process for permanent officers to follow.
