Recognizing that there is a lot of change happening for all of you, and to allow for one less change at this time, United and AFA have jointly agreed that until this difference of opinion is resolved, we will not reschedule flight attendants from deadheading to working on a flight, unless it is necessary to make up the FAA minimums to operate that flight.

Inflight Team,

It has been a busy week and we again want to thank all of you for your participation and feedback during the bidding process. While we recognize this initial bid has had some issues, we want to thank the dedicated team from AFA and United who have been working together all week to identify and fix these issues.

Late last week you received the Established Staffing Guidelines that will be used under the JCBA. This information outlines when Short Crew Pay is applicable. Included in this communication was information about rescheduling flight attendants from deadheading on a flight to working the flight.

We want to reiterate that throughout this joint implementation of your contract the leadership of United and AFA have been committed to resolving any differences of opinion in a courteous, collaborative and professional manner. Thank you again for all of your efforts this week as we have moved through awarding your first schedule under the JCBA.
