Upon accepting a transfer, the Flight Attendant shall not file another bid for a period of six (6) months.
Note: Flight Attendants on COLA, Special COLA, Personal, Parental or Adoption leave may request to continue her/his leave following the award of a voluntary transfer. The Company may grant such request in its discretion. If not granted, the Flight Attendant is expected to return from leave status on the effective date of her/his transfer.
Waiver of Transfer Inhibits for Satellite Base – Impact on Transfer Lists
Date: November 15, 2019
In an effort to ensure everyone has an equal opportunity to participate in the upcoming satellite base transfers to AUS, FLL, TPA and SEA, by mutual agreement with AFA, transfer inhibits will be waived for the initial staffing of these satellite bases. This waiver will permit Flight Attendants who have transferred within the past six (6) months to participate in transfers only to the new satellite locations. In addition, Flight Attendants who have declined a transfer within the past three (3) months will also have the ability to transfer only to these satellite bases as a result of the application of the waiver.
Consistent with the terms of our Contract, initial staffing for the vacancies at the new satellite bases will be awarded in system seniority order. However, the transfer list on CCS will not show the correct seniority ranking because those with transfer inhibits will not appear in their true seniority order because the programming continues to recognize their transfer inhibits.
By agreement with the company and as a result of the application of a manual process, an updated list reflecting the accurate seniority ranking of those interested in transferring will be prepared and published every Tuesday and Friday until the award date on December 6, 2019.
