This past week, SEIU (Service Employees International Union) hosted a nationwide day of action where thousands of contracted airport workers from coast to coast called on the CEO’s of each of the nation’s largest airlines to sign their “GOOD AIRPORTS PLEDGE”. They were asked to commit to ensuring everyone that works at an airport have a job that pay a living wage, provide affordable health care, and ensure a voice on the job.
Flight Attendants, elected AFA officials and volunteers attended the rally outside United Airlines’ headquarters at Willis Tower. In typical spring Chicago style, the weather was wet and windy, but the support was strong and unwavering.
