Supporting our daily operation at United is a vast network of safety technology professionals and our Geopolitical Analysis & Intelligence Team that monitors developing situations around the globe. The resources they provide help to keep us safe when traveling on company business and can even support us when traveling on personal time.
As part of a global airline, we experience new locations, cultures, and an ever-changing political landscape. Utilizing and understanding all the safety tools and services at our disposal is a resource that benefits each of us.
In our role as Flight Attendants, we have access to the International SOS Membership and have the application loaded on our company-issued LINK devices. This membership is not only beneficial when we are at work but can also be downloaded to our personal devices for use when traveling to international locations on our personal time. In emergency situations every minute counts. By having the International SOS application downloaded and logged in we can all be prepared to receive support in emergency situations.
During the month of September United will be hosting multiple safety events including an International SOS Membership Overview. This session offers a better understanding of services provided through the service and how it can be used for emergencies when working or during personal travel. This session is offered on September 12 and 24
United will also be hosting a Q&A with the Geopolitical Analysis & Intelligence Team called Ask Me Anything on September 26.
Both of these sessions will be hosted through Microsoft Teams and are open to all Flight Attendants. More information and access to the events can be found on FlyingTogether.
