This meeting will be held in Chicago at the Hyatt Rosemont, 6350 N. River Road, Rosemont, IL 60018. Your Local Council President, joined by the 16 other Presidents from around our system, will address the business of our Union and the issues that are important to you.

Your Local Council President, joined by the 16 other Presidents from around our system, will address the business of our Union and the issues that are important to you.
Elections for MEC Officers and MEC Committee positions will be conducted. Election information, including qualifications and responsibilities of each position, is now available on theMEC Election Pageof our website.
All active Members in good standing who choose to run for one of the positions listed on the MEC Elections page, should submit a resume and/or a signed “Willingness to Serve” statement. This should be done preferably fifteen days prior to the election date and sent to the United MEC Secretary/Treasurer at mecsec@unitedafa.org. Willingness to Serve Statements should not include personal information or employment history, as they will be posted on the United MEC website for viewing by the Membership. Resume information, if desired, should be in a separate document and will be shared with the Members of the MEC for their consideration and review. Interested candidates are encouraged, but not required, to give an in-person interview at the MEC meeting where the elections will be conducted. Any candidate who wishes to appear for an interview must do so at their own personal expense.
