Working with Crew Schedule Planning, we were made aware of an unanticipated automation issue affecting the award & loading of October schedules.

As of 2:31AM on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, working with Crew Schedule Planning, we were made aware of an unanticipated automation issue affecting the award of October schedules.  These problems became known after the award of schedules at certain smaller domicile locations and were fully identified after GUM and HKG schedules had been loaded into CCS.  BOS and HNL were subsequently loaded into the system as they were not affected by the automation issue.

As of 4:00 AM this morning, lines were re-awarded at LHR, FRA & NRT and work has begun to re-start the loading of these schedules into CCS.    Flight Attendants at these domiciles are encouraged to review their schedules for any changes to their line awards as these have been re-awarded and loaded into the system.

As of early Tuesday morning, September 18, 2018, all of the awards at CLE, LAS and the hubs, DEN, EWR, IAD, IAH, ORD, LAX & SFO, have been backed out and will be re-awarded over the course of the day.

Based on the work that was done overnight, the company has positioned itself to begin the award of these schedules early this morning.  However, schedules will not be released as anticipated by 0800 local domicile time.

While we are sensitive to the inconvenience this situation has caused, we also have an expectation that monthly line awards will be both timely and accurate.  Please continue to check throughout the later part of the day for you schedules to be loaded in CCS.  As additional information becomes available, we will pass that along to you.
