Members age 70+ with CAIC supplemental benefits coverage may have recently received correspondence stating their disability coverage was terminated due to their age. If you received this letter, please be assured it was sent in error – your coverage is active and does not terminate due to age.
The recent correspondence was incorrectly placed on the letterhead of AFLAC, CAIC’s parent company. Please note that your coverage is underwritten by Continental American Insurance Company (CAIC). No action is required on your part – your coverage remains active, and your payroll deductions are unaffected.
